Episode Summary
The episode starts with Nano Sexton robbing a bank, but being caught by Bumblebee, and then by Optimus Prime. Whilst Nano is sent to prision, Bumblebee receives a present from Sari, some boosters (as the episode is all about speed). Optimus and Ratchet warn Bumblebee about adding the boosters to himself, but the young bot doesn't listen and is determined to go faster. Maen while, back at the Sumdac labs, Issac Sumdac receives some bad news, that a speedsuit he is making has some faluts. Hearing this Megatron arranges a Police robot to deliver the suit to Nano, but not before posting his bail.
At first Nano is unaware of Megatron's involvement, and starts robbing banks again, easily outrunning the Autobots thanks to the super suit. Megatron then sends a subliminal message to Nano telling him of a proposition he has. He wants Nano to move some Destronian, a liquid cybertronian metal, from one side of Detroit to the other. The Destronian is so unstable it must be moved within 10 minutes. Megatron needs the liquid to help create his new body. Nano agres and takes on the nickname Nanosec - given to him by someone in a bank wh ohe robs.
As the Autobots struggle to catch Nanosec, Bumblebee inlists Sari's help to attach the boosters to himself. This gives him the speed boost he needs, but he looses control crashing into Optimus Prime, who had just captured Nanosec. As the Autobots chase Nanosec once again, Bumble bee uses the boosters yet again, this time an unforseen side-effect inflicts Nanosec .. his system ages due to the increase in speed, and he eventually collapses an old man.
The Autobots retreive the Destronian, although now it is in a critical state and will destroy the City. Bulkhead, Prowl and Bumblebee work together to send the liquid into space, where it explodes. Nanosec is arrested and the Autobots drive home, leaving Bumblebee to walk, as by this point he just wants to slow down.
